About the Workshops:

July is peak wild berry season in the Pacific Northwest. In this hands-on workshop series, we are moving past standard foraging identification and diving straight into preservation.

We will head into the woods to track, harvest, and process whatever wild fruit is at its absolute peak abundance—moving from early thimbleberries and black cap raspberries to mid-summer serviceberries and red huckleberries. From there, we will process our harvest into sweet forest preserves, mastering the techniques for micro-batch syrups, wild jams, and jellies infused with deep forest aromatics like pine and spruce needles.

Dates:

  • Part 1: Sunday, July 12th

  • Part 2: Sunday, July 26th

Location & Logistics:

To ensure we are harvesting where the fruit is most abundant, the exact location is kept flexible until the week of the workshop. We will be within a 1-hour drive of Portland.

The precise meeting spot will be emailed to ticket holders 5 days before the workshop. We typically caravan and carpool from the meeting spot—if you need a ride or have extra space in your vehicle for a fellow forager, just let us know after booking and we will help connect you.
